For the shop information, we subtract the listed polyols from the carbohydrates. Always compare the same reference amount, such as 100 g. This is our calculated net-carb figure and not an individual insulin-dosing recommendation.
Are Diablo peanuts in smooth milk chocolate sugar-free?
No. Diablo peanuts in smooth milk chocolate contain no added sugar; the sugar comes from the ingredients themselves. The nutrition facts table lists 7.5 g of sugar per 100 g. “No added sugar” therefore does not mean “sugar-free”: sugar-free chocolate peanuts could contain no more than 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g.

How do I calculate insulin for low carb products?
Low-carb products say "sugar-free" on the packaging, but the carbohydrates are usually very high. What does that mean and how much insulin do I need for it? The carbohydrates from polyhydric alcohols have no effect on the metabolism and do not increase blood sugar levels, so they do not need to be calculated in terms of insulin dosage. In concrete terms, this means: you check the packaging to see how many carbohydrates are stated. From that, you subtract the information "of which polyhydric alcohols". The result is the number that you need to take into account in terms of insulin dosage.

We make every effort to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Orders are usually sent to the post office by letter, maxi letter or parcel on the same or next day after payment has been received. Please note: Letters cannot be accepted by packing stations, so always specify a normal home address with a mailbox as the delivery address. If you pay via PayPal and credit card, the credit is usually credited to our account immediately, i.e. we ship the next day. If you pay in advance, it can take a few days, depending on the bank, for the credit to be credited to our account.
