Tips for overpatches for changing the tape?
So that you can easily change the tapes during the operating time of your CGM sensor without pulling off the sensor, there are permanently reusable plastic caps that are placed between the sensor and the tape: the TapeCover for Freestyle Libre 2, Freestyle Libre 3, and Dexcom G7.
Can I change the tape while the sensor is in use?
Yes. Press the sensor firmly onto the skin from above and carefully loosen the tape all around while continuing to hold the sensor in place with your finger until it is completely exposed.
Is the tape a Dexcom G7 adhesive patch or a medical fixation patch?
No. It is stuck over the sensor and gives it a design. Material: cotton. It is waterproof and hypoallergenic. Please also see the note at the end of this description.

We have developed our adhesive aid TapeGuard for tapes with a hole: TapeGuard is a small, flexible plastic frame that fits exactly around your sensor and onto which the tape is stuck. Can I change the tapes while the sensor/pod is running?
You can easily remove or replace the tape at any time while the sensor/pod is in use: Press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin from above and carefully peel the tape around the outside from the skin. While you continue to press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin with one finger, first pull part of the tape away from the sensor/pod until a sufficiently large area of the sensor/pod without any tape is visible. Press this area of the sensor/pod without any tape with your finger and peel off the rest of the tape.
