Oval instead of round: The SCHMUCK Tape Oval Black features an elongated black frame with a cutout in the middle. The decorative patch is suitable, for example, for Dexcom G7, Dexcom Flex, as well as Freestyle Libre 1 and 2. It is also suitable, for example, for the infusion sets listed below. The tapes are waterproof and breathable; their strong, skin-friendly adhesive ensures that the tape stays securely in place while showering, swimming and exercising. The TapeGuard applicator is a ring that lets you apply the Ring Tape to the sensor without creases, even in places that are difficult for you to see yourself.

Yes, the tape is waterproof. You can wear it while showering, swimming and exercising; the strong adhesive ensures that the tape stays securely in place.
How can I remove adhesive residue from my skin?
Removing adhesive residue is easiest with an adhesive remover intended for use on the skin. Follow its instructions for use, especially the information on application and the exposure time. You can find a selection in our adhesive removers. In cases of adhesive allergies and other skin reactions caused by patch adhesive or sensor adhesive, our guide to skin irritation explains where possible causes may lie and what you should know about skin protection and skincare. If skin reactions persist, speak to your diabetes team.
What is the difference between Overpatch, Ring Tape and Underpatch?
An Overpatch has no cutout and sits over the sensor. A Ring Tape has a cutout and frames the sensor. An Underpatch sits between the skin and the sensor. This tape is a Ring Tape with a cutout.

Tips for overpatches/tapes for covering
Sticking on and changing the tapes is even easier with our TapeCover protective cap: this permanently reusable plastic part is stuck between the tape and the sensor and ensures that you can easily remove the tape during operation and stick on a new tape.
Tips for border tapes with holes
We have developed our adhesive aid TapeGuard for tapes with a hole: TapeGuard is a small, flexible plastic frame that fits exactly around your sensor and onto which the tape is stuck. Can I change the tapes while the sensor/pod is running?
You can easily remove or replace the tape at any time while the sensor/pod is in use: Press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin from above and carefully peel the tape around the outside from the skin. While you continue to press the sensor/pod firmly onto the skin with one finger, first pull part of the tape away from the sensor/pod until a sufficiently large area of the sensor/pod without any tape is visible. Press this area of the sensor/pod without any tape with your finger and peel off the rest of the tape.
