In November 2023, our radio spot aired daily at 7 p.m. during the evening program on Antenne Bayern. It was a huge moment for us. A small sticker idea from my kitchen had become a brand for the first time, one that was playing on the radio alongside the big names. I'm Sonja from Zuckerschmuck, and I originally founded the shop for a very practical reason: When I got my first Freestyle Libre in 2015, there was simply nothing around it to make the sensor practical for everyday life. Over the years, that missing “something around it” has grown into a range of over a thousand products, organized into twelve main categories.

Accessories for CGM sensors: stickers, tapes and skin protection
A large part of the range revolves around CGM sensors (= Continuous Glucose Monitoring, i.e. continuous glucose measurement). We have accessories for the common models: Dexcom G6, Dexcom G7, Freestyle Libre 2 and 3, Medtronic Enlite and Guardian. Three main categories:
If you want to show off your sensor, there are colorful sensor stickers for all models. If you would rather camouflage it or decorate all around it, decorative tapes (tapes with a cutout for the sensor) are the way to go. For sensitive skin, there are skin protection wipes and sprays and adhesive residue removers: According to the manufacturer, the skin protection forms a clear film, while the remover helps loosen tape residue.

Accessories for insulin pumps: covers, bags and stickers
For insulin pumps, we carry accessories for popular models such as Medtronic MiniMed, Mylife Ypsopump, Omnipod DASH and Tandem t:slim X2. Three areas stand out.
Pump bags keep your pump securely against your body, often with a clip or belt attachment. Silicone covers and colourful stickers are available for specific models, for example for the Omnipod or as sticker sets for pens and readers. For Diabuddies who want to wear their pump discreetly under their clothes, belly bands and pump underwear are the more discreet solution.
Bags, travel and insulin cooling
Insulin is sensitive to heat and cold. When travelling, in summer or on a skiing holiday, you need reliable cooling. Here you'll find insulin pen cooling bags (e.g. Frio with evaporative cooling) and larger insulin cooling bags with a cooling element for longer trips or air travel.
For your daily diabetes accessories, we have diabetes accessory bags in all sizes, from compact to family size. If you're often on the go, our diabetes travel bags with compartments for your pump, sensors, insulin and emergency sweets are the well-thought-out option. We carry both products from manufacturers (Sugar Medical, Elite Bags) and original Zuckerschmuck creations.
Hypo helpers: dextrose, hypo boxes and low-carb
With hypoglycemia (= low blood sugar), you need fast-acting carbohydrates. Our dextrose range is huge: liquid in sachets, solid as small tablets or as fruit-gum sweets, individually wrapped for your pocket or in bulk packs for sports equipment. For on the go, diabetes hypo boxes are practical: printed plastic boxes that you refill yourself from a large pack of sweets. This saves money and packaging waste compared with individually wrapped gummy bears.
Those looking for sweets with few carbohydrate units to count will find a low-carb range from brands such as Diablo and NEOH: gummy bears, chocolate, cookies, and bars, as well as low-carb pasta. Carbohydrate units to count are listed on every product page.
Diabetes Kids: for kids with type 1
Children with type 1 diabetes have their own needs, and their parents even more so. Our Diabetes Kids World brings together child-friendly stickers (from unicorns to soccer), small pump bags with cheerful designs, child-friendly snacks, and books that explain the topic in an age-appropriate way. For the stickers and tapes, most designs are deliberately not “medical” but colorful, so sensors and pumps don’t look like they belong in a clinic during school and everyday leisure activities.
Lifestyle, jewelry, emergency ID, and books
Three areas that are not directly part of therapy but make life with diabetes easier or more enjoyable.
Emergency bracelets and pendants are a useful addition, especially for kids, athletes, and travelers: In an emergency, helpers can see that the person has diabetes. Under Diabetes jewelry, you’ll find necklaces, bracelets, and pendants that express the topic either discreetly or boldly. Cards for Diaversary (= personal diabetes anniversary, the day of diagnosis) are a small tradition that has become important to many Diabuddies. And under Diabetes books, you’ll find guides, children’s books, and even crime novels related to diabetes.

Which CGM sensors are supported in the range?
We carry accessories for the CGM systems commonly used in Germany: Dexcom G6 and G7, Abbott Freestyle Libre 2 and 3, Medtronic Enlite, and Guardian. Stickers, tapes, and sensor holders are each tailored to the specific sensor size; you can find the selection for each model in the respective sensor collection.
Do you also have accessories for kids?
Yes, with its own category. The Diabetes Kids World has child-friendly stickers, small pump bags, age-appropriate books, and snacks. With colorful stickers, the sensor goes from a “secret” to a “fashion statement.”
Do you have trial sets before I place a larger order?
Yes, for the tape category. The tape sample sets are inexpensive and cover the most common shapes and colors. This lets you find out which tape variant you like best for your sensor before buying a larger pack.
How does your skin protection work under tape and sensors?

Do you have gifts for people with diabetes?
