In November 2023, our radio ad aired daily at 7 PM during the evening program on Antenne Bayern — it was a huge moment for us. What started as a small sticker idea in my kitchen had, for the first time, become a brand playing on the radio alongside big names. If you heard about us through the ad and now want to know what we actually offer: here's a complete overview of our product range on one page.
I'm Sonja from Zuckerschmuck, and I originally founded the shop for a very practical reason — when I got my first Freestyle Libre in 2015, there simply wasn't any surrounding accessories to make the sensor wearable in everyday life. Over the years, that missing "surrounding" has grown into a product range with over a thousand items, divided into twelve main categories.

CGM Sensor Accessories: Stickers, Tapes, and Skin Protection
The largest section in the shop revolves around CGM sensors (= Continuous Glucose Monitoring). We have accessories for the common models — Dexcom G6, Dexcom G7, Freestyle Libre 2 and 3, Medtronic Enlite, and Guardian. Three main categories:
If you want to show off your sensor, there are colorful sensor stickers for all models. If you prefer to conceal it or provide extra fixation, decorative tapes (adhesive patches with cutouts) are the way to go. For sensitive skin or adhesive allergies, skin protection wipes and adhesive removers provide an invisible barrier between the adhesive and your skin.
More details on the selection per sensor model can be found in my explanatory articles on Dexcom G6 and Freestyle Libre 2 and 3. If you're unsure about a new tape, our tape trial sets are inexpensive and cover the most common shapes and color variations.
Insulin Pump Accessories: Covers, Cases, and Stickers
For insulin pumps, we carry accessories across all common models: Medtronic MiniMed, Mylife Ypsopump, Accu-Chek (Spirit, Combo, Solo), Dana, Omnipod DASH, and Tandem t:slim X2. Three areas dominate the assortment.
Pump cases keep the pump securely on the body, often with a clip or belt attachment. Silicone covers and colored stickers are model-specific — e.g., for the Omnipod or as sticker sets for pens and readers. For Diabuddies who want to wear their pump discreetly under clothing, belly bands and pump lingerie are the more inconspicuous solution.
Bags, Travel, and Insulin Cooling
Insulin is sensitive to heat and cold. When traveling, in summer, or on ski holidays, you need reliable cooling — here you'll find insulin pen cooler bags (e.g., Frio with evaporative cooling) and larger insulin cooler bags with battery packs for longer trips or air travel.
For daily necessary aids, we have diabetes accessory bags in all sizes, from compact to family-sized. If you're often on the go, our diabetes travel bags with compartments for pump, sensors, insulin, and emergency sweets are the well-thought-out option. We carry both manufacturer products (Sugar Medical, Elite Bags) and our own Zuckerschmuck creations.
Hypo Helpers: Dextrose, Hypo Boxes, and Low-Carb
In cases of hypoglycemia (= low blood sugar), fast carbohydrates are needed. Our dextrose assortment is huge — liquid in sachets, solid as tablets, lollipops, or drops, individually wrapped for your pocket, or in bulk for sports equipment. For on-the-go, diabetes hypo boxes are practical: sustainable plastic boxes with imprints that you refill yourself from a large candy pack — saving money and packaging waste compared to individually wrapped gummy bears.
For those looking for sweets without sugar and without an insulin spike, we offer a low-carb assortment: gummy bears, chocolate, cookies, and pasta from brands like Diablo, and sports bars. Attributable carbohydrates are listed on each product page.
Diabetes Kids: for Children with Type 1
Children with type 1 diabetes have their own needs — and their parents even more so. Our Diabetes Kids World bundles kid-friendly stickers (from unicorns to soccer), small pump bags with cheerful designs, age-appropriate snacks, and books that explain the topic in a child-friendly way. For stickers and tapes, most motifs are deliberately not "medical" but colorful — this helps many children accept the sensor and pump more quickly in their school and leisure activities.
Lifestyle, Jewelry, Emergency ID, and Books
Three areas that are not directly part of therapy but make life with diabetes easier or more beautiful.
Emergency bracelets with QR codes are a useful addition, especially for children, athletes, and travelers — in an emergency, helpers immediately see that the person is diabetic. Under diabetes jewelry, you'll find necklaces, bracelets, and pendants that address the topic discreetly or boldly. Diaversary cards (= personal diabetes anniversary, the day of diagnosis) are a small tradition that has become important to many Diabuddies. And under diabetes books, you'll find guides, children's books, and even crime novels with a diabetes connection.
Frequently Asked Questions about Zuckerschmuck
Which CGM sensors are supported in the assortment?
We carry accessories for the common rtCGM and FGM systems in Germany: Dexcom G6 and G7, Abbott Freestyle Libre 2 and 3, Medtronic Enlite and Guardian. Stickers, tapes, and sensor holders are tailored to the specific sensor size — the selection per model can be found in the respective sensor collection.
Do you also have accessories for children?
Yes, with its own category. The Diabetes Kids World has kid-friendly stickers, small pump bags, age-appropriate books, and snacks. Many parents report that colorful stickers make everyday life with a sensor or pump much more relaxed — the topic goes from "secret" to "fashion statement."
Do you have trial sets before I place a larger order?
Yes, for the tape category. The tape trial sets are inexpensive and cover the most common shapes and colors. This way, you can find out which tape variant best suits your sensor and skin type before buying a bulk package.
How does your skin protection help with adhesive allergies?
Skin protection wipes and sprays form a thin, transparent layer between the adhesive and the skin, which often significantly reduces irritation. I have a detailed guide with all the tricks in the article Help with Skin Irritation from Sensors. In the shop, you'll find the materials in the Skin Protection category.
Do you have gifts for people with diabetes?
Yes, and it's a dedicated section. Diabetes jewelry, fun and motivating diabetes mugs, elegant genuine leather bags of brand quality, and Diaversary cards. Especially for Diaversary, World Diabetes Day (November 14th), or simply as a thoughtful gesture for Diabuddies, these are popular gift ideas.
Where is the Antenne Bayern radio ad still running today?
The radio campaign ran in November 2023 during the evening program and is no longer active as a campaign. However, the 30-second spot is still available as a recording on YouTube — if you heard it on the radio and Googled us: nice to have you here.
Do I get a discount for my first order?
Yes. If you sign up for the newsletter, you'll receive a 10% discount code for your next purchase. In the newsletter, we'll also keep you updated on new products, seasonal promotions, and the occasional Sonja update — you can unsubscribe anytime with one click.
If you're looking for a specific product and can't find it in our assortment, just send us an email. Many of the items we carry today were originally added to our program at customer request — Antenne Bayern ad or not. Best regards, your Sonja 🩸
