The FRIO KLEINE blue is an insulin cooler for spare cartridges and vials. It is activated with water and requires neither electricity nor cooling packs. This model does not fit an insulin pen.

Everyday use
Activate the inner bag with cold water according to the enclosed instructions. Initial activation takes longer than the brief rewetting needed for subsequent use; do not overfill the crystals with water. FRIO works through evaporation and needs air circulation. Therefore, do not carry the active bag in an airtight covering. Components sensitive to moisture require a suitable waterproof inner bag.
For continuous use, reactivate the bag regularly; the available product information specifies 3 to 5 minutes for this. At a constant outside temperature of 37 °C, the bag keeps insulin at 18 to 26 °C for at least 45 hours according to the manufacturer; at a constant outside temperature of 30 °C, it lasts up to 28 days with regular reactivation. Always observe your medication's storage conditions; FRIO is not a refrigerator for storage at 2 to 8 °C.
FRIO guarantees the effectiveness of the crystals for 1 year. For optimal performance, the previous product information recommends replacing them after two years.

Does the FRIO cooler replace a refrigerator?
No. FRIO works through evaporation and does not provide cooling to 2 to 8 °C. The manufacturer specifies 18 to 26 °C for 45 hours at a constant outside temperature of 37 °C. The storage conditions for the specific medication remain decisive.
Does an insulin pen fit in the FRIO KLEINE?
No. This model is designed for spare cartridges, vials, and suitable metered-dose inhalers. You need a different FRIO size for insulin pens.
Does the FRIO cooler need a cooling pack or electricity?
No. Water activates the crystals, after which the bag cools through evaporation. For this to work, air must reach the bag.

How long does it take to ship my Zuckerschmuck® order?
We make every effort to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Your order will normally be sent to the post office by letter, large letter or parcel the same day or the next day after payment has been received.
Attention: Letters may not be accepted by packing stations, so always specify a normal home address with a mailbox as the delivery address.
When paying via PayPal or credit card, the credit to our account is usually made immediately, which means we ship the next day.
If you pay in advance, it can take a few days, depending on the bank, for the money to be credited to our account. If you would like to shorten the delivery time, you can send us a screenshot/transfer receipt to info@zuckerschmuck.com . The order will then be prepared for dispatch immediately.
