Product properties:
Prontosan acute wound gel
For acute wounds and minor burns
1st Purpose:
Prontosan akut Wundgel is a hydrogel for wound treatment that supports healing of the skin by laying over the wound to generate an optimal moist environment for wound healing. Prontosan acute wound gel is intended for the treatment of minor burns and wounds (e.g., abrasions, cuts).
2. properties:
Prontosan acute wound gel contains a hydrocolloid with a skin-neutral pH that helps create an optimal moist environment for wound healing, reducing the likelihood of scarring. In addition, Prontosan acute wound gel quickly relieves pain due to its cooling effect. Prontosan acute wound gel is a ready-to-use, clear, colorless and odorless hydrogel. The gel is non-irritating, well tolerated and painless to use. Since it contains neither perfume nor dyes, it leaves no stains on skin or tissues. Prontosan akut wound gel has been dermatologically tested. The very good tissue compatibility of polihexanide and betaine surfactants has been proven during many years of clinical use. As an additional effect to the primary effect, Prontosan acute wound gel is effective against clinically relevant pathogenic microorganisms, including MRE.
3. indications for use:
For minor burns and superficial wounds (e.g., abrasions, cuts). Do not apply the gel to heavily weeping or infected wounds. Wash your hands before and after treating a wound. Clean and dry the wound carefully before applying the gel. Apply Prontosan acute wound gel carefully (without rubbing) to the wound once or twice a day (two to six times a day for sunburn). If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster or bandage and change this/these daily. Prontosan acute wound gel must not be used continuously for more than 30 days at a time.
4. precautions:
For external use. Do not take.
Side effects such as irritation or allergic reactions occur very rarely.
Prontosan acute wound gel must not be used in cases of known allergies or suspected allergies to any of the ingredients.
The gel must not be used in the middle and inner ear or in the eye. If Prontosan acute wound gel comes into contact with the eyes, you should rinse the eyes with running water and consult a doctor.
