This diabetic cool bag is suitable for the following combinations of insulin pens, ampoules or cartridges:

– Up to 2 standard size insulin pens, either pre-filled disposable pens or refillable pens or
– 3 x 3 ml cartridges or
– 4 x 1½ ml cartridges or
– 2 x 10 ml ampoules.

The FRÍO® travel bag is a cooling unit specially designed to protect insulin against high temperatures during travel; this FRÍO® travel bag is effective through an evaporation system.

This bag has crystals on the outer wall and is immersed in water for 10 minutes, using the patented FRÍO® Crystal Cooling technology.

When the outside temperature is a constant 37°C, a temperature between 18 and 26°C is maintained in the FRIO for a period of up to 45 hours.

If the outside temperature is a constant 30°C, a FRIO will keep insulin for up to 28 days.

The inner pocket is hollow inside, i.e. no subdivision.
After activation, the inner pocket has a height of 3-4 cm and feels moist.

In case of constant pocket use, only immerse in water again for 3-5 minutes, especially when the crystals become palpable.

Frio must be able to breathe and works under an evaporation system.

We guarantee the effect of the crystals for one year, but many customers use the Frio longer.

Note: We recommend using a waterproof inner bag for metal insulin pens or an electronic timing device or accessory with electronic components to protect it from moisture or when EpiPens or Allergy Pens are placed in the cool bag.
